Our new little daughter...

Yes, she finally came. On Monday night around 11:00 my doctor broke my water and regular contractions started about 10 minutes later. Then almost 6 hours after breaking my water at 4:52am Tuesday 22nd of September, Norah Mei was born. She was 7 lbs 8 oz and 20 in long.

No pitocin needed! No c-section! Wahoo! Still wasn't sure that it was better than a c-section until today...maybe. Still have enough pain that I think at times a section would be better, but it all comes down to there is pain both ways - it just matters where you want the pain. We are all home as of last night and slowly starting "normal" life. I am enjoying being able to breath at full lung capacity and sleeping on my stomach. I also love being able to hold a little baby again. Norah is a great baby so far. She sleeps more than Helen ever slept. We are struggling with the feeding thing again, but not nearly as severely as we did with Helen. There is hope that we can work it out.

Norah is just beautiful (Mei is the Chinese name/word for beautiful, it also means plum) and we love her dearly. Helen has already taken to her and doesn't like anyone but Mommy, Daddy, Grandma Nani, and herself to hold Norah. She flipped out tonight when the bishop and his wife came by and held her for a minute. She kept saying through her bawls "Don't take Norah!" Finally the bishop had to give Norah back to me so Helen would quit throwing a fit.

Welcome, Norah!

A good laugh to start the day

Link to Funny Video.
Hahaha. I can laugh - I'm the one who gave my mom phone messages during my c-section, and I was even coherent on what was going on around me with no fuzz.

And now I am off to get ready to go see the doctor about removal of a large growth in my abdomen.... okay that sounds really impersonal and is not really how I feel about the baby, but I am starting to think of trampolines, motorcycles, and bungee jumping.

Sept 13th

So I just realized it just past midnight. So technically I am due today. Doubtful anything happens. Why you may ask? Because nothing has happend in the last week. I am just going to be prego forever.

I wanted to name this post "She's a Beaut" and get you all thinking we had an addition, but really I was only going to be talking about this crazy looking, delicious heirloom tomato I bought at the Gardner's Markey today. But I couldn't even do taht post title because Jake ate the tomato for dinner before I had a chance to take a picture. "She was a Beaut" just isn't the same. So no pictures to post...just random thoughts as I wind down for bed.

Thought I should post though because I am sure many of you are wondering if I had delivered yet. The answer is no.

I'm up. What about you?

I am posting this at 3 am. I have been up at this time every night lately. Only because I can't breath laying down. I think I have pneumonia or something. My lungs hurt so bad and so do the glands under my jaw. Thank goodness I get to see a doctor in 6 hours. I think I may arrive there an hour early just so I know I'll get in (j/k).

So I am up and wondering how many other people I know are up. Are they sick too? Or maybe they are up with sick children? Or maybe they just can't sleep?

Well, I am going to go try the recliner to sleep in for a little bit. Uncomfortable? - slightly. So is not having oxygen.
